A New Month, A New Permission Slip
There’s something sacred about a new month.
It whispers, “Try again.”
It opens its arms without judgment and says,
“You don’t have to carry everything you did last month into this one.”
And honestly? I needed that.
I don’t know what June was like for you, but for me, it was a mix of grace and grit. I had moments where I showed up for everyone else and forgot myself. Moments where I laughed and felt guilty for it. Moments where I was so tired of being strong, I wanted to crumble in the quiet.
So today, July 1st, I’m doing something different.
I’m writing myself a permission slip.
Not a to-do list.
Not a list of goals or expectations.
Just permission to be, to feel, to live.
My Permission Slip This Month Says:
I’m allowed to laugh without apologizing
I’m allowed to rest, even when the world keeps spinning
I’m allowed to grieve slowly
I’m allowed to dream again
I’m allowed to live…even when it still hurts
If no one’s told you this yet: YOU ARE TOO.
THIS MONTH, I INVITE YOU TO…
Take a deep breath and ask yourself:
What do I need to give myself permission to do or let go of this month?
Maybe it’s the permission to stop proving you’re okay.
Maybe it’s the permission to start healing in a new way.
Maybe it’s the permission to just exist without a plan.
Whatever it is, write it down.
Stick it to your mirror.
Speak it over yourself when the guilt creeps in.
This month is yours. And you don’t need to earn your way back to joy. You’re allowed to find it again, even now.
FREE GIFT FOR YOU:
To help you start July with intention, I created a set of affirmation cards called:
Each card offers a gentle reminder that healing isn’t selfish.
Keep them in your purse, by your bed, or taped to your fridge, because this month, you come first too.
With love,
La 💙
